Many Mossel Bay businesses are already listed on Locatr, often added from public information. If yours is one of them, claiming it puts you in charge: you can correct your details, add photos, reply to reviews and see how many people view and contact you. Claimed listings also get a verified badge, which tells customers they're dealing with the real owner.
Claiming is free. Here's how it works.
Step 1: Find your business
Search for your business name on Locatr, or browse to its category. Open your listing.
Not listed yet? Skip this guide and add your business instead.
Step 2: Click "Claim this listing"
In the listing's sidebar you'll see Not verified. Claim this listing! Click it to open the claim form.
If the listing already shows as verified, someone has claimed it. If that wasn't you, contact us and we'll sort it out.
Step 3: Sign in or create an account
You need a Locatr account to claim. If you don't have one, you can register right inside the claim form. Signing in later is easy: use your password, a sign-in link sent to your email, or a passkey.
Step 4: Tell us who you are
Fill in the claim form:
your first and last name, email address and phone number
verification details: your role in the business and how we can confirm it (for example, "I'm the owner; call the shop number on the listing")
optionally, a supporting document such as a business registration certificate or a utility bill in the business's name
You can also choose a package. Free costs nothing. Premium is only charged once your claim is approved.
Step 5: We review your claim
Our team checks every claim by hand to protect businesses from impersonation. You'll get an email when your claim is received and another once it's approved.
Step 6: Make your listing shine
Once approved, the listing is yours. Manage it from My Listings in your dashboard:
check your phone number, address, website and WhatsApp details
add a description customers will actually read, plus keywords people might search for
upload a logo and photos (Free includes 1 photo, Premium up to 6)
reply to reviews: a short, friendly reply goes a long way
open Statistics to see your views and the clicks on your phone, WhatsApp, website and directions buttons
