Mossel Bay is known for beaches, whales and history, but its food scene deserves a trip of its own. Fresh seafood comes straight off the boats, braais happen on the beach, and some of the best tables in town come with ocean views.
Here's our countdown of ten restaurants in Mossel Bay worth planning a meal around. Hours and menus change with the seasons, so check each Locatr listing for the latest details before you go.

Perfect for: any meal, any occasion, breakfast with a sea view

Tips for getting a table in season
Book ahead in December and January. The summer holidays are the busiest time of year.
Watch the event calendar. Big weekends fill restaurants fast. This November, IRONMAN 70.3 Mossel Bay (22 November) and MosJazz (26–29 November) both bring crowds.
Eat a little earlier. An early dinner or a weekday lunch is the easiest way to walk in without a booking.
Ask for the view when you book. Sunset tables at The Point and the harbour go first.
